The issues
Where Brian stands
A platform for the people who do the work in this district.

In his own words
Rights that don’t depend on who you know
Civil rights shouldn't depend on who you are, who you know, or what side of politics you're on. Brian is running to put accountability and people's rights ahead of partisan politics.
Peace and Foreign Policy
Diplomacy first. No more sending our sons and daughters to unnecessary wars.
Brian has seen war up close. He will put diplomacy and peaceful conflict resolution first, oppose excessive military spending, and redirect those resources to strengthening communities here at home.
Veterans
Care that is easy to reach, for veterans and their families.
As a Marine veteran, Brian supports expanded healthcare, mental health services, and employment opportunities for veterans and their families.
Healthcare
Healthcare is a human right. Medicare for All.
Brian supports a single-payer Medicare for All system that puts patients ahead of corporate profits and ends the rising costs and medical debt crushing working families.
Housing and Cost of Living
Stable homes build strong communities.
Brian supports expanding affordable housing, preventing foreclosures and evictions, and keeping housing costs within reach for families.
Data Centers and Livable Neighborhoods
No Big Tech data centers in your backyard.
Brian opposes Big Tech’s push to build massive data centers in local neighborhoods. They don’t belong next to anyone’s home. He will support bills to limit data center construction in North Carolina and keep our neighborhoods livable.
Economic Justice and Good Jobs
Fair wages, safe workplaces, and the right to organize.
Brian supports the Green New Deal’s Economic Bill of Rights: meaningful employment, fair wages, safe workplaces, and the right to organize a union. He will prioritize local economies and worker-owned enterprises.
Education
Fully funded public schools, tuition-free college, student debt relief.
Brian supports fully funded public education from early childhood through college, tuition-free enrollment, and student debt relief, with teachers and schools given the resources and respect they deserve.
Transportation and Infrastructure
Transit that keeps up with a growing Raleigh.
Raleigh and its neighbors are growing fast. Brian will make expanding transit a priority so commuters across the district can get where they need to go.
Democracy and Political Reform
Protect the vote. Get big money out.
Brian supports strengthening voting rights, expanding democratic participation, and reducing the influence of money in politics, with equal ballot access, transparent elections, and real accountability.
Real Financial Reform
Break up the too-big-to-fail banks.
Brian will take on the outsized influence of financial institutions: breaking up “too big to fail” banks, regulating speculation, and expanding public banking that serves communities.
Breaking Up Tech and Media Monopolies
A handful of billionaires shouldn’t control what we see and say.
Tech corporations have grown too big, especially in social media, and a handful of billionaires are buying up mainstream media. Brian supports breaking up tech and media monopolies to protect free speech and a real diversity of opinion.
Regulating AI
AI should not go unregulated.
Brian will support bills that rein in artificial intelligence and put real rules on the companies building it.
